KEN JENNINGS: I think I broke my buzzer.
[LAUGHTER]
KYLIE MAR: It was an intense second night on "Jeopardy!
The Greatest of All Time" as James Holzhauer
got off to a commanding start by going all in on his first two
Daily Doubles.
But Ken Jennings still proved that he can do that, too.
KEN JENNINGS: I got to do it, and I can
do it with a clear conscience.
8,400, Alex.
ALEX TREBEK: But can you do it--
KEN JENNINGS: Is this-- has James copyrighted this?
JAMES HOLZHAUER: Yeah, I-- KEN JENNINGS: Am I allowed to--
JAMES HOLZHAUER: One-time use only.
You're good.
BRAD RUTTER: He now owns 10% of whatever you get.
[LAUGHTER]
KYLIE MAR: After the first game, James had a small lead over Ken
while Brad Rutter struggled again.
In fact, at one point, Brad was 5,200 points in the red.
But despite his struggles, Brad kept a positive attitude with
a little help from Alex Trebek.
[BEEPING]
ALEX TREBEK: What is, good day, sir?
BRAD RUTTER: Oh, right.
[LAUGHTER]
ALEX TREBEK: Well, thank you for agreeing, Brad.
KYLIE MAR: Going into Final Jeopardy,
Brad was out while James and Ken were neck and neck.
And fans were loving it.
"Seriously, the 'Jeopardy' GOAT tourney is the best thing
about 2020 so far, hands down.
I'm rooting for everyone and it's still thrilling."
And while Ken won the first night,
an incorrect answer from him and correct answer from James
means that these two juggernauts are tied at a match
apiece going into night three.
ALEX TREBEK: 15,300 in this second game,
taking him to 38,100.
In game one, he had 44,314.
That gives him a two-game total of 82,414.
[APPLAUSE]
And he wins his second match in our greatest of all time
"Jeopardy" tournament.
