BRITTANY JONES-COOPER: Can we talk about just like,
her first scene where she's welcoming her new staff,
wearing her red power suit?
REGINA HALL: Yeah. New hair.
BRITTANY JONES-COOPER: New hair.
But that monologue that you get to give
is just so great and powerful.
So can you just-- like, what was the first time
you read that on the script--
what was your intention when you--
what did you want to bring to life in that scene?
Because it's such a dynamic scene.
REGINA HALL: Well, it was really great, because you know,
it was that scene where I felt like it was-- you
get to see that Dawn is taking over.
BRITTANY JONES-COOPER: Yeah.
REGINA HALL: And it's a office full of ladies, minus,
you know, Yassir and Wayne.
Horatio and Yassir.
And I wanted women to feel fired up about where we were heading,
so that at the top of the season, you felt like, ooh.
I mean, obviously, you know, things are going to happen.
But yeah, it was that idea of, how can we feel still
like a woman but powerful?
BRITTANY JONES-COOPER: Yeah.
