- How are you feeling today, mother?
- Proud.
Your father and I will talk about this day all the time.
KEVIN POLOWY: Angela, we lost a king this year with the passing
of Chadwick Boseman.
What can you say about Chad in your experience working
with him on "Black Panther?"
ANGELA BASSETT: Oh, my gosh.
He gave the full measure of himself, of his abilities,
of his talent, of his heart, of his spirit,
of his deep, abiding, limitless soul to that project.
But I imagine he did that with whatever project he found
himself in, whatever conversation
he found himself in, whatever relationship he endeavored.
He was truly one of the most special individuals create--
creations that I have ever met in my life.
I love the outpouring of love from the world in recognition
of him, but it's--
it's because he was--
his well was just so deep.
And he touched so many in such a understated, beautiful way.
We're all capable of that.
KEVIN POLOWY: Thank you for that.
I-- I can attest to it.
Chad was-- he was actually a really good friend of mine,
so I--
yeah.
He was part of our family, so I feel you.
Thank you for sharing that.
I really-- I really appreciate that.
